Early Stage Investing, VCTs and EIS Funds
We are very active in assisting FCA authorised firms that seek out and provide early stage funding to new ventures. We are familiar with the regulatory difficulties associated with seeking investors for early stage ventures and have helped corporate finance boutiques, operators of collective investment schemes and networks of business angels understand the way in which the regulatory regime applies to them and to assist these firms with implementing the requirements.
We are represented on both the EIS Association and the British Business Angels Association and have worked with both HM Treasury and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to highlight the importance of maintaining an appropriate balance between investor protection and stimulating enterprise in relation to unlisted and early stage ventures.
