Bovill proudly joins HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter

Bovill

We are delighted to announce that we have signed up to the Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter, a commitment amongst financial services firms to prepare talented female employees to reach key leadership positions. The Charter aims at improving gender diversity at the top level of management.

Bovill joins 66 other leading companies including J.P. Morgan, Equifax and Investec Asset Management. With 272 signatories the Charter expands its reach to 760,000 financial services employees in the UK.

Bovill’s Chief Operating Officer, Rachel Aldridge said:

“Bovill has been ahead of the game in terms of gender diversity at our senior levels for many years. With this well overdue initiative, we are delighted to see that the benefits it can bring are being recognised by our clients, peers and the broader financial services industry.”

As recommended in Jayne-Anne Gadhia’s review into the representation of women in financial services, the Women in Finance Charter encourages firms to implement four key actions in order to promote the development of talented female employees to top positions:

  • having one member of our senior executive team who is responsible and accountable for gender diversity and inclusion
  • setting internal targets for gender diversity in our senior management
  • publishing progress annually against these targets in reports on our website
  • having an intention to ensure the pay of the senior executive team is linked to delivery against these internal targets on gender diversity.
