Ching Soon is a Principal Consultant in Bovill’s Singapore team. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he provides regulatory compliance services to the firm’s asset management clients.
Before joining Bovill, Ching Soon held various positions in international asset management firms in Singapore and has over 15 years of managerial experience. He was primarily responsible for corporate secretarial, operational risk and compliance practices.
He has spent many years advising, reporting and handling compliance matters in Singapore and Hong Kong, including securities and futures regulations, ethics and conduct, investment guidelines compliance, business continuity, outsourcing, personal data privacy, AML/CFT, bribery and corruption, regulatory inspections, financial promotion, fund registration, securities market and cross-border fund distribution rules and regulations in Asia.
Before specialising in compliance, Ching Soon was an accountant responsible for finance and management accounting and reporting, budgeting, payroll and statutory, tax and CPF filings.
Ching Soon graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce with Merit Award.
