NEWSLETTER: The nights are drawing in, the clocks are going back… so maybe it is no coincidence two of our featured articles this month mention resilience. Firstly, below we have an update on Operational Resilience, which is common terminology now used by global regulators to set higher standards and avoid business disruptions resulting from operational failures.
Our second article on the topic of resilience traces the journey of the “COVID-19 impact survey”, which has subsequently become the “FCA Financial Resilience Survey”. The FCA now proposes that this new survey can be morphed into a regular required return, known as the “FIN073 – Baseline Financial Resilience Report”. An important consultation to keep track of, especially if you are a non-MIFIDPRU firm.
Also hot off the press is the long-awaited FCA consultation paper on Sustainability Disclosure Requirements as the regulator seeks to tackle the issue of ‘greenwashing’. While the proposals are initially geared towards the asset management sector, our upcoming webinar should be of interest to all regulated firms seeking to understand the direction of travel.
